Benton offers a Percussion Lab class in conjunction with Band so that our Percussionists get focused instruction.

I do not know whether we will be able to offer the Summer Enrichment classes for the upcoming year. However, we do have Beginning and Intermediate Guitar, so if your 6th grader is a novice, Beginning Guitar would be appropriate.

Will math tutors be available to students who need extra help?

Our electives are open to all grade levels. A list of electives is posted on our webpage. Beginning/Intermediate/Advanced classes are skill based rather than by grade level.

We do offer after-school tutoring for many subjects, including math.

When will students be able to register for classes? Do classes typically fill up quickly?

Students will select classes during the late spring. Some classes fill up quickly, but most students receive at least one and usually two of their top three choices.

Would students transferring from other districts know if they are allowed to go to Benton by late spring or do they register later?

what kind of transportation is available for those that where closed out of Los Coyotes?

Students transferring in from outside the district usually find out by May… though it can take longer depending on the volume of permits requested. Generally, we are usually able to accommodate requests from outside the district.

What are the requirements for the honors program? And do they need to meet all of the requirements?

What's the average class size? How many students are on campus? Are electives taken away if a student needs help in math?

Honors classes are open to all students who would like to try them. Should teacher/student find that it is not a good fit, we would have a conference to discuss other options.

We offer volleyball, basketball, football, soccer, cheer, and track n field after school.

Sports: Yes, we have football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball, track & field.

are there vaccine requirements?

Students who need additional academic support have access to a spectrum of supports. Some Special Education may replace one elective, but otherwise, struggling students do not lose an elective.

We have cheer!

We have many other sports during school as well, paddle sports, circus arts, soccer, handball, dodge ball and more

what about vax?

Our math classes are about 29 students/class. Other classes are slightly higher.

We do have a trip to DC for 8th graders.
